Maping Native and 3rd-Party Forms

SharpSpring enables you to map native and 3rd-party forms. The form Mapping Tool can be used to include one of your existing forms on your website, rather than replacing it with a SharpSpring form. If you would like to learn how to implement a ShapSpring form into your website, more information can be found here.

The following video will show you how to map native and 3rd party forms in SharpSpring. However, if you prefer, a written step-by-step guide is available below the video for your convenience.

Mapping Native Forms

Step 1: Click the green “New” button in the top right corner of SharpSpring.

Step 2: Click on “Form” in the drop down menu.

Step 3: Give the form a name.

Step 4: Select "Native Form" in the pop up menu.

Step 5: Click on the blue "Continue" button (this will generate a snippet of JavaScript code)

Step 6: Copy this code and paste the script just after the closing form tag of the form you want to map.

(Note:
You can only map one NAtive of 3rd Party form per page.)

Step 7: Go to the website page that has the form and fill out the form.

Step 8: Refresh the page that has the form code.

Step 9: Select the Form and click “Options.”

Step 10: Click the “Form Fields" tab.

This is where you will map the fields. Mapping the fields tells SharpSpring what those Form Fields refer to. First Name maps with First Name, Last Name maps with Last Name, etc. Whenever you fill out the form for the first time, that’s your mapping data. Therefore, don’t expect the lead to appear in the system until after the first entry. The second person to fill out the form will be imported as a lead.

Step 11: Click “Save Mapping.” You have now successfully mapped a native form!

(Note: If you ever change your Native Form, you will need to repeat this mapping process again.)
